2004 – 2008 Bayley + Willmer Chartered Architects.
Extensions and alterations to private dwellings, both modern and older Listed properties. Specialising in conservation work and due to the part-time working hours, my workload consisted of feasibilities, Planning and Building Regulation drawings and a very small amount of Contract Administration as office projects are turned around quickly.
2008 – 2013 Studio 5 Architects Ltd (Formally Bayley + Willmer)
Following the retirement of one of the senior partners of Bayley + Willmer Chartered Architects Ltd, I was given the opportunity to become a co-Director of a new company, Studio 5 Architects Ltd., which continues the work of the practice, with the same staff and at the same premises.
Due to my working patterns, I am very efficient with my time and find that this lends itself well to my current workload where I can offer a personalised and flexible approach to my clients and projects.
I am CAD literate and currently work on AutoCAD LT. Due to the nature of the projects being carried out by the office and the close working relationship we have with the local Planning departments we often find that hand-drawn drawings are better received as part of a Planning application package, particularly for properties with historic character or those in Conservation Areas.
